About Chris

Meet Chris Moore

As a family man with young adult children and many grandchildren living on the Sunshine Coast, Chris understands the importance of jobs, affordable housing and providing a safe community. Chris, with his entrepreneurial group of children (who were inspired by their grandmother), started The Bricker Cider Company, a place which has contributed to the soul of the community. Open to all, it has become a great spot to meet up and is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.

As someone with parents and grandparents who fought in wars for their country Chris sees becoming MLA as his duty for his community. He has extensive community engagement history including 18 years as a volunteer fire captain in Whistler, and as a sports coach in hockey and softball.

Chris has experience as a District of Sechelt Councillor and knows how government should work and perhaps, more importantly, has practical ideas for how it can work better for the people it serves.

Chris’s career in property development and real estate gives him a greater insight into the issues of affordable housing and the solutions required to solve them.

MOORE FOR THE COAST

COMMON SENSE FOR THE COAST

These five bold missions will form the backbone of Chris Moore’s election manifesto to drive forward a common sense approach to bettering the Sunshine Coast:

  • Transportation Committing the Conservative Party to year-long hourly ferry sailings, breaking down current barriers for opportunity, and putting a priority on creating a unified highway for the whole of the Sunshine Coast.
  • Raising the Level Acting now to address the year round catchment system and improving water restrictions.
  • Living in Harmony – Working to implement a more inclusive process for all future systems, looking to start with the current dock management plan and BC Lands Act.
  • Taking the Streets Back – Address the current mental health and medical industry epidemics, working to create a safer community and more accessible healthcare.
  • New Beginnings – Focus on building for locals, lower incomes, and younger families.

In the coming months leading up to the October provincial election, we hope that you’ll take the time to get to know us and our candidate Chris Moore – learn what we stand for and how we can BRING COMMON SENSE BACK TO BC after 7 years of NDP mis-management.

Don’t Forget to Vote!

It’s time for significant change in Powell River – Sunshine Coast communities. Chris will help lead you there.
